Scholarships

In June 2022, Uptown Gay and Lesbian Alliance will award scholarship grants of $1,000 or $2,000 to qualifying graduating seniors from selected Northeast Los Angeles high schools. As in June 2021, the grants will be awarded to students who are planning to attend a four-year college or university.

And, new for 2022, qualifying graduating seniors from these same schools who are planning to pursue a two-year degree or vocational certificate at a Los Angeles County community college may apply for a $500 grant.

Successful applicants to both programs will demonstrate a commitment to issues of social justice in general, and in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and queer (LGBTQ+) community in particular.

UGLA’s 2022 Scholarship Program is a significant commitment and step forward in support of our youth and their aspirations.
